He is known for his strong command of camera operation, visual composition, and cinematic storytelling, contributing to films, television projects, documentaries, and global broadcast productions. His long career behind the camera has made him a respected technical figure in Nepal’s visual industry.

Deepak Bajracharya is a Nepali cinematographer whose career spans more than two decades, recognized for shaping the visual language of modern Nepali cinema through his work on critically acclaimed films such as Jhola, Woda Number 6, Bhor, Lamphoo, Paani Photo, and Mahapurush. Active since the early 2000s, he has contributed to over 25 films, consistently delivering grounded, character‑driven cinematography marked by natural lighting, cultural texture, and strong narrative alignment. His filmography includes major commercial releases as well as award‑winning social dramas, establishing him as one of Nepal’s most reliable and respected cinematographers.

Nisal Poudel is a Nepali cinematographer and Director of Photography active since 2023, known for his visual work in the feature films Kausid (2023) and Kalli. A graduate of Oscar International College (8th Batch), he represents the new generation of Nepali DOPs trained in modern film theory, visual language, and narrative‑driven cinematography.His work emphasizes naturalistic lighting, grounded realism, and character‑focused framing, bringing emotional depth to rural and contemporary Nepali stories. With a growing portfolio and collaborations on emerging Nepali films, Poudel is steadily establishing himself as one of the promising young cinematographers shaping Nepal’s evolving visual style.

Baikuntha Man Maskey is honored as the first cinematographer of Nepali cinema, a pioneering figure who helped shape the visual foundation of early Nepali films. He earned a Diploma in Cinematography from the Film and Television Institute in Pune, India, in the 1960s, and began his career as the chief cinematographer for “Manko Baadh.” Maskey went on to shoot numerous films, including “Parivartan” and “Hijo Aaja Bholi,” along with extensive work in documentaries and television. He passed away at the age of 83, leaving behind a lasting technical and artistic legacy.
