She completed her schooling at Siddhartha Vanasthali Institute and later earned a degree in Sociology, while also developing herself as a painter and potter.At 16, she was crowned Miss Nepal 1997, becoming Nepal’s representative at Miss World 1997 in Seychelles, marking a major milestone in Nepali pageantry.Her acting debut came with Hatiyar (1999) opposite Rajesh Hamal and Karishma Manandhar.
