Notable Works: "Aankhako Bhaka Ankhaile" "Swargaki Rani" "Kunjama Gunjiyo" "Bho Bho Nasodha" "Madhumas Yo Dilko" "Ye Kanchha Thattaima" "Bichodko Pida" "Sero Fero Mero" "Ghumtima Naau Hai" "Jaga Lamka Chamka Hai Naujawan Ho" His lyrics often explored themes of love, separation, and human emotions, resonating deeply with audiences. One of his most celebrated collaborations was with the legendary singer Narayan Gopal on the song "Swargaki Rani," which remains a classic in Nepali music. Awards and Recognition: Thapa's literary excellence earned him several prestigious awards, including the Jagadamba Shree Puraskar and the Bhupi Poetry Award. Madhab Raj Kharel  (Madhab Kharel) is a prominent figure in the Nepali film industry. He began his career in 1998 with his first written and directed drama, "Jana Chetana," which became immensely popular in Nepal at that time. Following the success of "Jana Chetana," he produced and directed telefilms such as "Kasur" and "Kasto Yo Jiwan." Throughout his career, Kharel has directed several films that focus on human rights, love stories, research-based subjects, and women's rights. Some notable films in his directorial portfolio include "Hyebe Karait Bhor," "Birano Maya," "Dhunge Yug" (the first Nepali Silence movie ), "Dhunge Yug ... The Human Civilization," "Gadhimai 2066," "Durgamandu" & "Chitthi" In addition to his filmography, Kharel has directed around two dozen plus documentary films and over two dozen music videos to date. His contributions to the industry have been recognized through various awards and honors. Active from the early 1990s, he worked across filmmaking, screenwriting, and songwriting, earning recognition as a multi‑talented creative figure in the industry.He made his film debut with Sankalp (1993), followed by contributions to several notable films including Miteri Gaun and Badal. As a lyricist, he wrote songs for films such as Bhauju and Truck Driver, showcasing his poetic depth and narrative sensitivity.Gagan Birahi directed Miteri Gaun, the first Nepali feature film fully shot in Japan, marking a milestone in Nepali cinema’s international production history. Alongside filmmaking, he remained active in literature, writing poems, stories, and lyrics throughout his career.His final published work was the poetry collection “Hastakshar”, which he released from his hospital bed, demonstrating his lifelong dedication to writing even during his final days.Gagan Birahi passed away in October 2018 at the age of 61, leaving behind a respected legacy in both Nepali cinema and literature.
