Utpal Kandel is a Nepali music composer, teacher, and media composer whose work spans Bollywood, Hollywood, and contemporary Nepali music. He served as Music Producer and Orchestrator for the highest‑grossing Hindi film “Dhurandhar”, and has contributed to major projects including “Bads of Bollywood,” “Kesari Chapter 2,” and “Article 370.” His international portfolio includes a collaboration with two‑time award‑winning Hollywood composer Art Phillips. Now based in Australia, he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music and has performed at the Sydney Opera House, proudly representing Nepali culture on a global stage.

Early Life I was born on July 16 in Tanahun District. I grew up on the hill of Tanahun. I finished my lower and higher secondary school level at Gyanodaya Boarding School and Mahendra Jyoti Higher Secondary School respectively. I finished my SLC exams in 2061 BS. and cleared my Bachelor's Degree from Rainbow International College in 2067 BS.

Bartika Eam Rai, a talented Nepali-American singer-songwriter based in New York City, has made significant waves in the music industry. Let’s explore her artistic journey: Early Beginnings and Musical Training: Bartika grew up in Lalitpur, Nepal, where she began her musical journey informally from the age of six. By the time she was around 11 years old, she was already performing in front of small audiences. She recorded children’s songs and received training from notable mentors such as Shreeti Pradhan, Upendra Lal Singh, Roshan Sharma, John Shrestha, and Gurudev Kaamat. It was only after moving to the United States that she decided to pursue music professionally as a career. Debut Album: “Bimbaakash”: In 2016, Bartika burst onto the scene with her debut album titled “Bimbaakash.” The album featured six songs, and her first single, “Khai,” gained widespread popularity on YouTube. The song was described as a “breath of fresh air,” with thrilling aesthetics in its poetry and simplicity in delivery. Bartika’s talent earned her nominations at the Hits FM Music Awards, where she won Song of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Performance (Female) for “Khai.” Second Album: “Taral”: In March 2018, Bartika announced the release of her second album, “Taral,” once again produced by Diwas Gurung. The album was supported by tours across the United States and England. Its first single, “Umer,” was accompanied by a captivating music video. Prem Dhoj Pradhan is a Nepalese musician, born in 1938 in Chautara, a small town 28 miles east of Kathmandu. He is a singer, composer, and a regional playback singer. He sings in the two major languages of Nepal, Nepal Bhasa and Nepali. He is also known as the Golden Voice and King of Romantic Melodies of Nepal. Prem Dhoj is known for being the first to perform with a guitar in Nepal. He was also the first Nepali singer to sing with Indian playback singer Usha Mangeshkar for the movie Maitighar in 1965. In 1985, he sang duet songs with Asha Bhosle for the movie Mayalu in Bombay, India. Prem Dhoj has varied his musical style throughout his career and recorded approximately 700 songs on Radio Nepal, including live broadcasting and recorded songs.
