Under his mentorship, she participated in the Darjeeling Gorkha Dukha Nivarak Sammelan Music Competition around 1981, performing songs composed by Chandan Lomjel with lyrics by P. Arjun and Puran Giri. She also sang a duet with Lakpa Sherpa, winning awards in both duet and group categories, and securing first place in the Lok‑Adhunik category—a milestone that marked her full entry into the musical field.Rimla continued her classical training with Guru Chittaranjan Mishra, and after he returned to Odisha, she studied under renowned sitar maestro Tri Ratna Tuladhar, with whom she still consults whenever she seeks deeper musical refinement. Through Chandan Lomjel, she also met composer Manikamal Chhetri, who offered her the opportunity to sing in Pratap Subba’s musical drama “Mrigtishna,” where she performed classical raga‑based compositions.With her grounding in classical discipline, her Darjeeling musical heritage, and her naturally melodious voice, Rimla Moktan remains a respected and cherished figure in Nepali folk‑adhunik music.

Durga Kharel, born on the 5th of Kartik in Bhadrapur, Jhapa, is a talented Nepali singer known for her melodious voice. The youngest in a family of five siblings, Durga was always supported by her family, especially her parents Khem Raj and Laxmi Kharel. Musical Journey: Durga’s passion for music began in her childhood, but it wasn’t until she moved to Kathmandu in 2059 BS that she pursued it seriously. She completed her B. Music degree at Indira Sangeet Vidyaalaya, where she honed her skills. Her breakthrough came when she participated in Nepali Tara in 2062 BS, where she reached the top ten. This exposure led to several offers to sing in collection albums, and in 2064 BS, she released her debut solo album, Dil, which marked her as a recognized name in Nepali music. Career Highlights: Durga’s soulful voice and unique style quickly gained her recognition in Nepali music. She has contributed to multiple collection albums and Nepali movie songs. Durga is currently working on her second solo album, promising to bring more of her distinctive sound to her fans. Ajit Ghising Tamang was born on February 14 in Thulopakhar-1, Sindhupalchowk, as the eldest son of Dil Bdr. Tamang and Pancha Maya Tamang. Raised in a middle-class family, he has one brother and two sisters. Growing up, Ajit was shy and reserved, especially around girls, but he gradually became more open and confident as he progressed through his education. He completed his schooling up to grade 10 at Shree Kakaling School in Sindhupalchowk. Later, he moved to Kathmandu, where he pursued his +2 and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Ratna Rajya College. Initially, he had no aspirations to become a singer; his interest in music developed during his college years. Encouraged by friends, he began singing and took music classes at institutions like Kirateshwor, Sadhana Kala Kendra, and Jana Sanskriti Manch. He expresses deep gratitude to his teachers, including Madhu Gurung, Bishnu Lama, and Prakash Gurung, for their support and encouragement. Ajit's musical journey began with recording a song on a whim, which led to his first album, "Path", released in 2063 BS (2006 AD). He followed it up with "Dahar" in 2065 BS (2008 AD) and later "Taali". Over the years, he has recorded over 95 songs, showcasing his versatility as a singer, composer, and music arranger.
