Geetanjali Thapa is a
Nepali and Indian actress known for her work in both
Bollywood and Nepali cinema. She was born in
Gangtok, Sikkim, India, and started her career as a
model before transitioning into acting.

Nepali Film – Jaar
Geetanjali Thapa plays a leading role in the
Nepali historical drama Jaar, directed by
Phurba Tshering Lama. The film is based on a
renowned short story by
Indra Bahadur Rai and explores
social traditions and moral complexities during the rule of
Jung Bahadur Rana (1846–1877). The film stars
Saugat Malla, Anoop Bikram Shahi, and
Geetanjali Thapa, bringing to life a compelling narrative about Nepal’s past.
Jaar is set to release on
May 9, 2025.
