Arun Chhetri, born Arun Belbase on February 6, 1996, in Ghorahi, Dang, Nepal, is a Nepalese actor and dancer. He began his acting career in 2017 with the web series "Lastai Rag Bho," produced and distributed by Highlight Nepal. That same year, he appeared in the short film "Mayako Sansar." Chhetri gained significant recognition for his role in the 2022 Nepali drama film "Mahapurush," written and directed by Pradip Bhattarai. In this film, he shared the screen with renowned actors Madan Krishna Shrestha and Hari Bansha Acharya, collectively known as Maha Jodi, as well as Gauri Malla, Rabindra Singh Baniya, Rajaram Paudel, and Anjana Baraili. Following the success of "Mahapurush," Chhetri starred in the film "Prema," which was released on March 31, 2023. He also took on a role in the movie "Jackie: I Am 21," released in 2023. He has starred in the film White Sun (2016) which was his first film that was entry of Nepal for Academy Awards. Dayahand Rai is also the recipient of numerous awards including three National Awards for Best Supporting Actor in 2009 for Dasdhunga, Best Actor in 2015 for Sambodhan, and Best Actor in 2016 for Kabaddi Kabaddi.
