Dinesh Adhikari

Shrawan Mukarung is a Nepali poet, writer, and lyricist known for his revolutionary and socially conscious works. Born on June 8, 1968, in Dilpa village, Bhojpur district, Nepal, he has published two books of poetry, one book of songs, one book of drama, and one album of songs. His literary contributions often reflect themes of social justice, identity, and cultural heritage. Some of his notable works include: Desh Khojdai Jada (Book) Mathi Mathi Sailungey Ma (Song) Bisenagachi ko Bayaan (Poem) Mukarang has been recognized for his contributions to Nepali literature, receiving the Moti Award from the National Youth Service in 2003. His writings have played a significant role in shaping modern Nepali poetry and literature.

I was born in 2014 BS, 7th Mangsir, in East Charikot 2, Fusku. Father Bir Bahadur Gurung and Mother Krishna Kumari's distinguished upbringing and teaching made me an able graduate. I grew up in a family where people have been indulged in the military career since the time of my grandfather Bhaktabir Gurung Jung Bahadur. To carry on the family profession, I also worked as an officer in the government His Majesty the King. I also run a bus service under the name 'Ambika Travel Agency'1985-1993. I came to the USA in 1994 after my husband was offered a working visa from the United States. I have been in the habit of writing poetry and stories since I was a child. I collected a lot of poems and stories that I started on my way to school. When I started studying in college, some poems were published in magazines. And also, I started writing Geeti Katha to give to Radio Nepal for publishing, that was 35 years ago. After I got married, I could not continue writing because I had to take care of my family and children. Finally, in 2015, 'Bhav Sagar' Part 1 poetry collection was published, and immediately in 2016 'Bhav Sagar Part 2' was also published. I started my journey of song and music on July 31, 2016, and I am still doing it. I have my own company Bhavsagar Entertainment L L C &Bhavsagar Creations youtube channels.

Ramesh Dahal is a Nepali lyricist who is writing lyrics for two and a half decades. Ramesh was born as an elder son of Pashupati Prasad and mother Balkumari Dahal in Dolakha. He has penned over a thousand songs. Among them, around three hundred songs are in the playlist of music lovers. He earned MSc. in Environmental Science & Policy from the USA (Source: Naya Youbodh, Dec 14, 2019). Also, he has taken online lyrics writing classes from Canvas.net and Sameer Anjaan, an Indian lyricist. Ramesh's journey on writing lyrics has begun as a poet. However, he turned himself writing lyrics from 1990. Latter, the writing became a kind of passion and now it is a responsibility of him to portray the lyrics for the listeners from each corner. The learning from real-world work experience has enabled him to captures the heart touching subject matters of very common people (Source: Music Khabar, January 1, 2020). Latter, Ramesh extends knowledge conducting research on Nepali music, songs and their impacts on the transformation of Nepali society. He expresses that after a certain time of contribution to a particular field, the experiences need to be shared with the wide arena. Keeping the fact in mind, Ramesh has written dozens of research articles that may serve as a reference to the interested persons who explore Nepali songs and music (Source: Annapurnapost, October 20, 2019). Also, Ramesh enjoys writing lyrics/poems on global issues in the English language. These creations seem meaningful in the international music market. So, it is hoped that his creations in English will get an appropriate place in the days to come (Source: Music Khabar, January 1, 2019).

Chetan Karki was a legendary Nepali lyricist, film director, screenwriter, and novelist who made a lasting impact on Nepali cinema and music. Born on November 7, 1938, in Syangja, Nepal, he was one of the first screenwriters in Nepali cinema, writing his debut screenplay for Pariwartan. Over his career, he contributed to more than 100 Nepali films as a writer and director. Career Highlights Chetan Karki was known for his versatile storytelling and lyrical compositions. Some of his notable works include: Films: Bishwas, Pahilo Prem, Bhumari, Maya Priti, Kanchi, Kanyadan Songs: Teejako Rahara Aayo Barilai, Bainiko Dayacha Bhane Publications: He published poetry collections in Nepali, Hindi, and Urdu, along with novels and song collections. Personal Life & Legacy Chetan Karki passed away on May 16, 2021, due to COVID-19 complications at the age of 83. His contributions to Nepali literature, music, and cinema remain influential, and he is remembered as one of Nepal’s most extraordinary talents.
