Deshbhakta Khanal is a talented actor and director from Nepal. He began his career in theater, performing in plays like Gorakha Bhartikendra and Merchant of Venice. Later, he transitioned to television as an assistant director, working on the series Guruaama Nepalki. His film career took off with Bijaya Parajaya, where he contributed as both an actor and assistant director.
Over the years, he has acted in more than 20 feature films, 45 TV serials, and 35 stage dramas. He has also worked as a scriptwriter for around 20 projects. In 1999, he started directing Nepali films, with notable works including Pinjada, Man Mero Mandaina, Santan Thari Tharika, Baazee, and Achanak. Additionally, he has been involved in international projects, such as the Japanese film Miteri Gaun (Tomodachi No Mura) and the American movie Highway to Dhampus.
