Shanti Thatal (शान्ति ठटाल) is a renowned Nepali music composer and singer known for her contributions to the Nepali film industry. Born on April 4, 1938, in Darjeeling, India, she is celebrated as the first female music composer in the Nepali film industry. Shanti Thatal has composed music for several Nepali films and has more than 200 songs to her credit. Some of her well-known songs include "Mayalu Ley Samjhe Ki Kaso", "Udi Jaun Bhaney Mo Panchi Hoina", and "Samhalera Rakha". Shanti Thatal's work has earned her numerous accolades, including the Jagadamba Shree Puraskar in 2020 for her contribution to Nepali music. She has also been awarded the Master Mitra Sen Smriti Award for Music by the Sikkim government in 2002.

Dinesh Subba is a distinguished Nepali composer, singer, and lyricist, celebrated for his significant contributions to the country's music scene. Robin Tamang is a Nepalese singer, musician, actor and founder of rock band Robin & Looza &  Robin and The New Revolution. Born in Singapore, he was youngest of five siblings born to the family of a British Army. Due to the different postings of his father, he moved to several country in his childhood like Hong Kong, Singapore and Brunei. During his schooling in Singapore, he used to listen to Jimmy Hendrix and Deep Purple, who became the true inspirations to him. While he was doing his college in Humber College in Toronto, in the mid-1980s, he formed his second band Tamang and performed at different stages. In 1996, he came back to Nepal and went to Pokhara, his father's place and joined the rock band Looza. He performed together with Looza but soon this journey came to an end after the group disbanded in 2005.

Manila Sotang is a Nepali singer. Manila was trained in music early in life by her uncle who taught her to sing bhajans. After singing playback for the film Mayalu, she was noticed as a singer. Manila has sung more than 200 songs to date. She has 10 music albums with her husband Uday Sotang. The husband-wife musical couple have contributed to Nepali Adhunik (modern) music for two-and-a-half decades. Manila Sotang is originally from Darjeeling, India. She moved to Kathmandu along with her husband Uday Sotang to pursue their musical career in the late 1980s. Her daughter Shreya Sotang is a singer who has also released an album.
