Crowned Miss Nepal International in 2024, she’s now preparing to represent Nepal at the Miss International pageant in Tokyo. Her advocacy centers on mental health awareness, especially among adolescents, through her initiative called Nurturing Minds. She’s also passionate about environmental sustainability and has led several local initiatives promoting green practices.

  Lasimit Rai, born in Rangapani, Jalpaiguri, India, was a celebrated Nepali singer active for more than three decades. She earned her Master’s degree in Nepali Literature from Tribhuvan University and taught at United Academy in Jawalakhel. Her admired film songs include Mayaluko Muharai Hansilo from Gauley, Sangsangai Bachna Paun from Lekhanth, Mari Gaye Muri Mato from Paradeshi Kanchha, and Aaj Maile Ram Namai Japey from Majhi Dai. Her modern hits include Sunkoshiko Sunko Pani, Samjhanale, and Ghamle Pani Polchha. She lent her voice to over fifty songs. Rai passed away in 2021 due to COVID‑19.
