Shakti Ballav Shrestha is a distinguished Nepali music composer and singer, renowned for his significant contributions to the country's music industry. Early Life and Education: Born on February 5, 1959, in Charikot, Dolakha, Nepal, Shakti Ballav is the son of Laxmi Kumar Shrestha and Khadga Kumari Shrestha. He pursued a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Trichandra College, Kathmandu. His musical education was under the tutelage of the late Chetnath Sharma, specializing in Eastern Classical Music. Musical Career: Shakti Ballav commenced his journey in music composition in 1975 (2032 B.S.). His first recorded piece aired on Radio Nepal in 1978 (2035 B.S.), featuring lyrics by Dr. Dirgha Singh Bam and vocals by Pratap Adhikari. Over the years, he has been associated with numerous albums, including: Pidhi Maya Ko Yam Ajambari Anuvuti Lakh Badhai Halkaara Prastav Pratibadha Maya Ko Rang Parichaye His compositions have resonated deeply with audiences, leading to his designation as a Prestigious Musician by Radio Nepal. Sanup Paudel is a professional singer of Nepal. He was born in Shillong, India. He is the youngest among four siblings. Sanup rose to fame after a singing contest had come up, called Geet Bahar, run by Gulshan Kumar in Mumbai. Sanup was at the age of nineteen when he applied for this contest and was finally selected. Early life and Education He learned the classical music, under the singer Shukla Dham, after completion of his bachelor education in Ethnomusicology at the Kathmandu University. A few after completion of this education, he got a chance to enroll in School of Oriental and African Studies in the UK for about half a year. Born and raised in India he came to Nepal in the year 1997 as a young musician. He registered for vocal lessons from Prabhu Raj Dhaka as some school lessons and also private classes outside of school.

His musical journey began after completing his SLC in 2055 BS, when he joined Sangeet Sadhana Music School and trained under Kailash Rai and later Aaga Lama. He often collaborates with artists like Sumina Lo, Sashikala Moktan, and Jamuna Yonjan, and his music blends traditional Tamang rhythms with modern arrangements. His studio, Dong Studio, is a hub for his creative productions.
