Anil Sthapit

Pramod Dhungana is a prolific Nepali lyricist active since 1993, credited for writing songs in more than 50 Nepali films across three decades. His work spans classic, modern, and commercial cinema, contributing lyrics to notable films such as Aama (1996), Daijo (1996), Gunyo Cholo (1997), Bandhan (1997), Chandal (1998), Army (2000), Daag (2000), Sahar (2001), Upahaar (2003), Kurukshetra (2004), Baramala (2005), Aandhi Tufan (2007), Ghatak (2008), Sargam (2011), Shasan (2011), K Ma Timro Sathi Banna Sakchu (2012), Lamphoo (2018), Kahi Katai (2018), Jhingedau (2022), and Upahaar (2024).He has also collaborated repeatedly with major Nepali music directors such as Shambhujeet Baskota, sharing credits in films like Shasan (2011), Chino (2011), Ko Aafno Ko Birano (2005), and Apaharan (Ekadeshma).Alongside lyric writing, he has occasionally worked as an actor, screenwriter, and singer, showing versatility within the Nepali film industry.

Lochan Rijal is a multi-instrumentalist, a singer, songwriter and a scholar of ethnomusicology. Born in the Panchthar district of Nepal, he grew up around music performed at festivals by the local people of that region. The experience influenced him to explore the potential of sound and develop his passion into his profession. While in college, he began teaching music to school children in Kathmandu while also working in the pop and rock music scene, producing award-winning albums, before moving onto something that fed his scholarly ambitions. In 2014, he graduated with a PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Massachusetts and Kathmandu University. He also works as the associate professor and Head of Kathmandu University’s Department of Music.

Nagendra Thapa has also been recognized for his contributions to Nepali music, receiving honors such as the Natikaji Rastriya Bishishta Sangeet Samman 2080. Nagendra Thapa played a significant role in bringing together two legendary figures in Nepali music, Narayan Gopal and Gopal Yonjan. He was instrumental in establishing their collaboration, which resulted in many timeless songs that have left a lasting impact on Nepali music.
