Narendra Mainali is a celebrated Nepali cinematographer known for his evocative visual storytelling and contributions to both mainstream and independent cinema. With a background in computer engineering, he transitioned into filmmaking through a deep passion for photography and motion pictures. Education & Training Mainali holds a Bachelor's degree in Motion Picture Photography from Oscar College of Film Studies, Tribhuvan University. He further honed his craft through international programs, including: Asian Film Academy (Busan International Film Festival, 2012) Berlinale Talents (Berlin Film Festival, 2013) VIEWFINDER: Masters in Cinematography (Erasmus+ program in Ireland, Hungary, and Estonia) He also studied at the Danish School of Media and Journalism and received mentorship from cinematic legends like Wong Kar Wai and Matthew Libatique (cinematographer of Black Swan). Career Highlights Mainali’s debut short film Bansulli (The Flute) was selected for the Venice International Film Festival, while The Contagious Apparitions of Dambarey Dendrite premiered at the Abu Dhabi Film Festival. His work spans over 18 films, including shorts and features, many of which have screened at prestigious festivals in Venice, Busan, Locarno, and Palm Springs.

Murari Thakur is a veteran Nepali cinematographer whose career spans more than three decades, contributing to some of the most formative eras of Nepali cinema. His work begins as early as 1982 and continues through the late 2000s, covering major commercial, romantic, and social‑drama films. He is known for his consistent visual craftsmanship across both black‑and‑white and early color Nepali films.His filmography includes landmark titles such as Jivan Rekha (1982), Silu (1987), Jhuma (1991), Rakshya (1993), Daijo (1996), Chori Buhari (1996), Chamatkar (1999), Apsara (2000), and Ajambari Maya (2002).

Gauri Shanker Dhunju is a Nepali cinematographer known for his steady visual craftsmanship across feature films, music videos, and television productions. Active for many years in Nepal’s evolving film and broadcast landscape, he has been closely associated with the iconic comedy duo “Maha Jodi,” contributing to numerous awareness‑based TV serials, short films, and social‑message projects produced under Maha Sanchar. His long collaboration with the team strengthened his reputation for clean visuals, controlled lighting, and dependable on‑set execution. Alongside cinematography, Dhunju has also appeared on screen in select roles, reflecting his comfort both behind and in front of the camera.
