Sushan Prajapati is one of Nepal’s most in‑demand cinematographers, known for his dynamic visual style and prolific work across commercial and independent Nepali cinema. Active since 2010, he has shot more than 20 feature films, including acclaimed titles such as The Red Suitcase, Dui Numberi, Rangeli, Selfie King, Bulbul, Garud Puran, Lukamari, Junge, Ritu, and Apabaad.
Recognized for his technical mastery and storytelling instincts, Prajapati was selected for Berlinale Talents, the prestigious global filmmaking platform organized by the Berlin International Film Festival — a major milestone for Nepali cinematography.
He is widely regarded as one of the busiest and most versatile DOPs in the Nepali film industry, praised for his belief that “cinema is about the operator’s skill, not the gear.”
