Nabin Chauhan is a Nepali film director, storyteller, and founder of Artmandu, best known for his critically acclaimed feature film Unko Sweater (The Woolen Sweater). His filmmaking journey is rooted in theatre, years of creative exploration, and a transition from directing popular music videos to crafting emotionally rich, socially grounded cinema.Before entering feature films, Chauhan directed several hit music videos such as “Tinpate,” “Sunakhari,” “Baaf,” and “Batauli,” building a strong visual identity and narrative style. His shift to cinema culminated in Unko Sweater, a film celebrated for its warmth, cultural depth, and portrayal of rural Nepali life.Chauhan’s storytelling is shaped by his early years in Panchthar, his formative experiences in Shilpee Theatre, and his commitment to authentic, character‑driven narratives. His work reflects a blend of realism, emotional honesty, and cultural sensitivity, positioning him among the new generation of Nepali filmmakers redefining contemporary cinema.

Anil Budha Magar is an award‑winning Nepali film director, writer, and independent filmmaker known for his powerful storytelling rooted in the socio‑cultural and political realities of Nepal’s remote regions. Born in Taksera, Eastern Rukum, he represents a new generation of filmmakers bringing authentic rural narratives to national and international audiences.Active since 2012, Magar began his career with the acclaimed short film Lomba (The Leadership), which won five awards and received nominations at seven international film festivals. His work is characterized by deep research, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to telling stories of marginalized communities.

Madhab Raj Kharel  (Madhab Kharel) is a prominent figure in the Nepali film industry. He began his career in 1998 with his first written and directed drama, "Jana Chetana," which became immensely popular in Nepal at that time. Following the success of "Jana Chetana," he produced and directed telefilms such as "Kasur" and "Kasto Yo Jiwan." Throughout his career, Kharel has directed several films that focus on human rights, love stories, research-based subjects, and women's rights. Some notable films in his directorial portfolio include "Hyebe Karait Bhor," "Birano Maya," "Dhunge Yug" (the first Nepali Silence movie ), "Dhunge Yug ... The Human Civilization," "Gadhimai 2066," "Durgamandu" & "Chitthi" In addition to his filmography, Kharel has directed around two dozen plus documentary films and over two dozen music videos to date. His contributions to the industry have been recognized through various awards and honors. Some of the accolades he has received include the Jury in Samjhana Digital Film Award (D-Cine Award) 2010, Sudaradevi Music Award in 2015 and 2018, Music Khabar Music Award in 2015, Model Songs Awards in 2018, Nepal Cultural International Film Festival in 2018 & 2021, Sagarmatha Music Award in 2018, Rastriya Sangeetkarmi Music Award in 2018, National Entertainment Award in 2021, and the Nepal-Africa Film Festival in 2021 & 2022. Kharel also holds a Guinness World Records, and he has been honored with the Best Director Awards and has also been decorated with the prestigious 'Prabal Janasewa Shree - Fourth' for his enormous contribution in Nepali cinema and arts. Alok Nembang (June 9, 1973 – November 6, 2014) was one of Nepal’s most influential film and music‑video directors, celebrated for shaping the visual language of modern Nepali pop culture. Beginning his career as a VJ and model, he went on to direct over 600 music videos, introducing cinematic style, fresh aesthetics, and youth‑driven storytelling. Nembang made his feature‑film debut with the hit romantic drama Sano Sansar (2008), followed by Kohi Mero (2010). Known for his creativity, discipline, and trend‑setting vision, he remains a defining figure in Nepal’s contemporary visual and musical landscape.
